“Does the BJP govt think by using greater military force against Kashmiris in IOK, it will stop the freedom movement?” the prime minister asked, before the answering the question himself: “Chances are it will gain momentum.”He said it should be “obvious” that the international community will be witnessing the “genocide” of Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir. Closing his tweet with a question, Prime Minister Imran wrote: “Will we watch another appeasement of fascism, this time in the garb of [the] BJP govt, or will the international community have the moral courage to stop this from happening?”

Talking to media outside Parliament House, Awan said a policy was being formulated to ban all kinds of Indian cultural content in Pakistan. She said Pakistan would utilise all options to extend its support to the Kashmiris in the wake of revocation of Article 370 by India. Efforts were being made to highlight the plight of the residents of occupied Kashmir, including consultations at the United Nations by Pakistan’s envoy Dr Maleeha Lodhi, and contact with heads of governments, she said. The special assistant noted that Pakistan had presented a united stance through a unanimous parliamentary resolution condemning India’s actions in occupied Kashmir. Pakistan would show no leniency on the issue, she added.
Naqvi was handed the prison sentence in a case involving low-cost carrier Air Arabia PJSC, the publication quoted people familiar with the matter as saying. The sentence comes days after the financial regulator of Dubai said it had imposed a record fine of nearly $315 million on two affiliates of the collapsed Abraaj group for unauthorised activities and misusing investors’ funds. According to the Bloomberg report, Naqvi’s legal representative declined to comment on the development, while Air Arabia representatives weren’t available to comment. In April, Naqvi was arrested in the United Kingdom on US charges that he defrauded investors, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In May, he was granted conditional bail of $20m after a London judge dismissed prosecutors’ bid to keep him in custody while he fought extradition to the US.
“The secretary general has been following the situation in Jammu and Kashmir with concern and makes an appeal for maximum restraint,” his spokesperson said. “The position of the United Nations on this region is governed by the Charter of the United Nations and applicable Security Council resolutions,” read the statement. “The secretary general also recalls the 1972 Agreement on bilateral relations between India and Pakistan, also known as the Simla Agreement, which states that the final status of Jammu and Kashmir is to be settled by peaceful means, in accordance with the Charter of the UN.”
Modi in his speech alleged that Pakistan encouraged “terrorism and separatism” in occupied Kashmir. “Friends, I have full belief that we will be able to free Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism and separatism under this system,” he said. “I have full faith that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, after defeating separatism, will move forward with new hopes and aspirations.” He said the special status has “not given anything other than terrorism, separatism, nepotism and big corruption”. Modi said he respected opposition politicians and prominent Kashmiris who have opposed the government’s strong-arm tactics. “We are working to answer their points but I request them to act to keep India’s interests and help Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,” he said. “I want to assure my Jammu and Kashmir colleagues that slowly things will become normal and their problems will reduce.”
A failed attempt by the Five Star Movement to derail plans for a high-speed rail link showed the coalition could no longer govern, he said. Five Star leader Luigi Di Maio said his party did not fear another election. Mr Salvini’s party is well ahead in opinion polls, due mainly to his stance against illegal immigration. In last year’s election, Five Star won twice as many votes as The League, but polls suggest the proportions have been reversed. Giuseppe Conte, the non-party law professor who serves as the coalition’s prime minister, has said Mr Salvini must “justify” to parliament his call for an election. Political clashes over the project for a railway between the Italian city of Turin and French city of Lyon led Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to put tenders on hold in March. The multibillion-euro TAV (Treno Alta Velocità) link involves digging a 58km (36-mile) tunnel through the Alps. It is bitterly opposed by Five Star on environmental and cost grounds.
A case study, involving a 62-year-old, was published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada. The woman had been suffering from a prolapsed vagina and believed the treatment could help avoid surgery. Vaginal steaming, which involves sitting over a hot water and herb mix, has seen a growth in popularity. It and other treatments for intimate areas, including vulva facials, are now available at some salons and spas. The LA Times first reported on the steaming trend in 2010, and it later gained widespread attention when Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop brand recommended it. Last year, US model Chrissy Teigen also shared a photograph of herself undergoing the treatment.

Williams, a 23-times Grand Slam champion, topped the annual list for a fourth consecutive year with estimated total earnings of $29.2 million, the business magazine said. Osaka’s total income grew to $24.3 million, driven mainly by her off-court earnings, soaring to an estimated $16 million from $1.5 million a year ago, but the Japanese still missed the cut for Forbes’ top 100 best-paid athletes list. Williams is the only woman making it onto that list, coming in at No. 63. Forbes said it compiled its list based on prize money, salaries, bonuses, endorsements and appearance fees between June 1 2018 and June 1 this year US women’s football player Alex Morgan is the highest-placed non-tennis player on the women’s list at number 12, with Forbes putting her total earnings of $5.8 million.

The deal essentially works by having students sign up for the discounted plan of their choice ($4.99 per month for YouTube Music Premium, or $6.99 per month for YouTube Premium), but instead of getting one month free, for a limited time, they now get three months. After that time expires, Google will start charging you the usual monthly price, unless you opt out and cancel the subscription, so that’s something to keep an eye on.YouTube Music Premium is Google’s paid music streaming service, which allows for users to stream, download, and discover new music — basically Spotify or Apple Music, but built off YouTube. YouTube Premium is the more comprehensive subscription, which allows for downloading YouTube videos on mobile, removes ads from YouTube, and gives access to YouTube Original shows, in addition to all the benefits of YouTube Music Premium.

In a letter, Weinstein attorney Arthur Aidala asked Justice James Burke to permit him to travel to Rome to meet with Giuseppe Tornatore, the director of the 1988 film, and with composer Ennio Morricone, who is 90 and no longer able to travel. The Manhattan D.A.’s office did not consent to the travel request. The judge denied Weinstein’s request without explanation. His attorneys argued that he is the victim of “mob justice.” “Here is a person who is presumed to be innocent, who has adhered to every single mandate of his bail agreement, who has not been able to work in close to two years,” said Weinstein’s attorney, Donna Rotunno. “He has been blocked from working in his industry, and when he tries to earn an honest living, is denied by the court. This exemplifies the problem with this current environment of conviction and punishment before trial, yielding to mob justice. That this is even a story is demonstrative of how low we have sank.”
“We are thrilled to welcome master storytellers David Benioff and Dan Weiss to Netflix. They are a creative force and have delighted audiences worldwide with their epic storytelling. We can’t wait to see what their imaginations will bring to our members,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, told THR. In a joint statement, Benioff and Weiss thanked HBO, but naturally made no mention of the project Confederate, an alternative history show centered on a version of America in which the South won the Civil War and slavery persisted. The idea, which Benioff and Weiss pitched to HBO in 2017, received immense backlash from critics and the public. Many displeased fans saw a project helmed by two white men — creators with questionable track records regarding race and slavery on Game of Thrones — that would potentially treat American slavery as a form of titillating entertainment, instead of a structural force still very much embedded into modern politics and society.
