Even elite is not spared: Pakistan increases tac on business class air tickets 

What happened:  The FBR immediately increased the taxation on business class air tickets. The hike is noted in  the “tax amount increased from 10,000 rupees to 50,000 rupees, and it will be applicable regardless of the issuance of tickets.”  The notification:  Apparently, the Federal Board of Revenue has issued a notification in this regard, quoting,  “All business class passengers whose tickets are already issued for travel on July 1 or later are hereby informed that this difference may be collected at the airport by the airline staff.”  However, it is pertinent to mention that the business class air ticket hike would not affect PIA because  “PIA spokesperson said that they do not offer business-class facilities in its planes.”
