We often notice how some people from wealthy backgrounds behave as if they are superior than others? It’s not entirely their fault. We, as a society, have created a culture where we idolize and put the rich on a pedestal. This leads to a phenomenon called “wannabes” – individuals who lack self-confidence and try to emulate the behavior of the elite by demeaning local food and clothing, pretending to be ignorant of the local language and using fake accents to fit in. This behavior is toxic because it makes these people disrespect their own culture and language, which is not a desirable trait. Everyone should be proud of their heritage and the language they speak. It’s okay to speak in any language you’re comfortable with, and it doesn’t define your worth as a person. The problem with wannabes is that they only respect the rich and disregard everyone else. They try to act differently in fancy restaurants and around wealthy people, pretending to be someone they’re not. But, in reality, it’s quite apparent that they’re trying too hard, and this behavior only makes them look foolish. Instead of trying to imitate others, it’s always better to be yourself. Trying to fit in by acting like someone else is not cool at all, and it only shows that you’re ashamed of your true identity. Embrace who you are and be proud of your roots – that’s what makes you unique and special. So, let’s stop this trend of wannabes and celebrate our diversity.
