What happened: Pakistan is a country where it is not often seen that you see a woman working at a fuel station; however, Sapna and Suman have been working at a petrol station in Karachi’s Clifton area. The two have been working at Clifton’s PSO filling station for almost two years, as a publication quotes, “The two women work the morning shift to avoid commuting issues in the evening or night.” Details: Suman’s interview is quoted by ProPakistani as, “Our co-workers support us and encourage us a lot. We have never been harassed, but this might also be due to the fact that our male colleagues surround us. Our male colleagues also make sure that nothing of the sort happens with us.” At the same time, Suman said that they are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves. What’s their message: Suman is further quoted as, “If all parents start believing in their daughters, so many unfulfilled dreams of families will come true.”
