Where and When?
On February 17, 2018, a protest was held at Liberty Chowk, Lahore for the missing activist, Raza Khan. Reportedly, Khan went missing in Lahore on December 2, 2017, after attending an open discussion event on the topic of extremism.

Why Was the Protest Held?
Raza was 40 years old and a member of the Aghaz-e-Dosti (Initiation of Friendship) organization. He was well-known for his grassroots activism around the issue of India-Pakistan friendship. You can view a snippet of the protesters demanding justice in this video of the protest, here. The protest was organized as a tribute to Asma Jahangir and her fight against enforced disappearances such as Raza Khan’s. Asma was Raza’s legal counsel in the Habeas Corpus case in High Court. For those not acquainted with the term “Habeas corpus”, it is described as; a writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court. Especially to secure the person’s release unless lawful grounds are shown for their detention.
Who Attended the Protest?
Present at the protest were artists and human rights activists, such as Saeeda Diep and Rahim Ul Haque. Students from the National College of Arts and Forman Christian College were also protesting. Young people from Balochistan were also in attendance. The channels NewsOne and City42 were there to cover the event.
