DG ISPR denies discussion of ‘foreign conspiracy’ at National Security Committee meeting

What happened: On April 14, the Director-General Gen Major Babar Iftikhar said that the National Security Committee did not discuss a foreign conspiracy and, as Friday Times reported,  “aimed at a regime change in Pakistan.”  Lately, there have been reports and Imran Khan has been claiming that a foreign conspiracy was initiated against his government to topple it, but DG ISPR has said,  “The minutes of the national security committee meeting did not contain the word conspiracy.”  Details: While, replying to a question, Gen Major Babar Iftikhar said,  “The United States never asked for bases in Pakistan.”  However, various publications reported that such a speech by DG ISPR  “rubbishes”  the claim of a foreign letter and a conspiracy.
