Despite invading Ukraine, Russian journalist is auctioned off Nobel Peace Prize to aid Ukraine children

What happened:  The co-winner of the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize and also the editor of Russia’s largest independent newspaper, Dimitry Muratov, has decided to auction off his prize to aid the children  “displaced by the war in Ukraine.”  However, the auction for his Nobel Peace Prize went successful, and he made a record 103.5 million dollars off the auction.  Details:  The auction took place on  World Refugee Day,  and Reuters quotes,  “this will benefit the UNICEF’s humanitarian response for Ukraine’s displaced children, Heritage Auctions.”  It is pertinent to mention that the newspaper’s editor  Dimitry Muratov  is very critical of Russia’s policies and had received a warning for their coverage of the war in Ukraine.
