Suspect arrested for spreading bomb scare in SHC building

Digestible News 01: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a suspect from the outskirts of Karachi who had allegedly made a hoax call, claiming to have planted a bomb inside the Sindh High Court building. The initial investigations suggest that the suspect had made the call “as a joke” and didn’t think that he would be arrested for his act.
Later The SSP told the news agencies that the detained suspect was familiar with the SHC building as his elder brother had been imprisoned for two years over charges of murder.

Digestible News 02: United States Media on Sunday reported that at least 27 have died, with 20 others injured after a gunman, shortly before noon, open fire at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs- a small community 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.

 The shooting comes just over a month after a gunman in Las Vegas, firing down from a hotel room, killed 58 people and wounded hundreds attending an outdoor concert.

Hamid Mir booked in 7-year old kidnapping and killing case of retired ISI official 

Case against Hamid Mir Digestible News 03 : A case against senior television anchor and journalist Hamid Mir has been filed in Islamabad in connection with a seven-year-old case involving the kidnapping and killing of Khalid Khawaja- a retired official of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Khawaja was kidnapped while filming a documentary in militants-infested South Waziristan Agency and was shot dead after a month-long captivity in April 2010. The case was registered following a petition from Khawaja’s widow Shamaima Malik, who claims Mir and Usman Punjabi, a commander of Tehreek-i-Taliban took her husband to S. Waziristan where he was killed.

Pakistan to supply 400 balls for Blind Cricket World Cup

Daily Digestible News 04: Pakistan will be supplying 400 cricket balls for the Blind Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in Pakistan and UAE in January 2018, said Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Chairman Syed Sultan Shah.

“All blind cricket playing nations are using Pakistan manufactured cricket balls,”

He further told the press that If Asian teams make it to the final then the final would be held in Pakistan but if European teams qualify for the top honor then it would be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
