What happened: The Interior minister, after he returned from Dubai to tackle the violent protests in Lahore, and had said that the PM was informed about the French Ambassador and the protests. However, in his recent press conference, he said, “Now the TLP workers have turned violent and are not fulfilling their promises, I am warning the workers, to not take the situation to a stage where their party would be banned internationally and credited as terrorists.” 
Details : However, on the 27th of October, PTI Senator Faisal Vawda tweeted that the ministers who had entered into an agreement should be responsible for the current protest turning violent. However, the senator later deleted the tweet.
Also : Faisal Vawda’s interview with senior journalist Nadeem Malik said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan did not know about the government’s agreement with now banned militant TLP. There is no point in putting the onus on the PM.” Whereas, the Interior Minister earlier on the 27th of October said, “The TLP has turned into a militant organization as its members had opened fire on policemen using Kalashankovs, leading to the martyrdom of four policemen.” He also added, “PM has instructed me twice strictly to ask the FIA and other authorities to counter the fake accounts on social media accounts spreading fake news.” What’s happening now : On the 28th of October, the militant group TLP has asked Sheikh Rasheed to reveal the details of the negotiations between the government and the group to the public, as they claim, “We will not allow the facts to be distorted.” At the same time, a spokesperson for the group, Saddam Bukhari, is quoted by a private media outlet, “One side of the picture should not be shown regarding negotiations with the government. Our only demand from day one was that the French Ambassador be deported.” However, during press briefings, the Interior Minister has claimed otherwise, as Sheikh Rasheed has said that they keep changing their demands and have reportedly demanded their leader Saad Rizvi be released.
