What happened: On Apr 19, Balochistan National Party Mengal boycotted National Assembly proceedings over the alleged firing of security forces which claimed 6 lives and injured several other people. Details: The people of Balochistan were protesting against the forced disappearances and the killings of their community members when reportedly FC opened fire on them. BNP-M member, Hasan Baloch said that since 1947, the Baloch people have been the victims of extrajudicial killing, “The cheapest thing available in the country right now is the blood of the Baloch people,” he remarked, adding that the Baloch people were more essential to the BNP-M than anything else. “How come the security forces have so much power? We denounce it and call for a walkout. In these circumstances, how can we stay in government?” The members left the house then.
