Cats helped save restaurant from going out of business in Covid-19 pandemic

What happened: A Japanese restaurant in Osaka named Diorama was opened right before the pandemic in 2018 and is a miniature railway model-themed ramen eatery. Subsequently, the Japanese media reported,  After the global pandemic struck, the owner was on the verge of shutting the business down.”  Cats came in to help the restaurant and helped the owner regain his business.

Details:   Whereas, the owner, Naoki, gave shelter to a critically ill cat and decided to raise the animal right next to his hospital. Subsequently, more cats that required shelter were given one outside Naoki’s restaurant as he said,  “It was a financially difficult time for us, but we decided to help the cat family.”

How did the cats help the business? Naoki posted the pictures of cats on his Instagram handle to gain engagement, and he succeeded. And as the Japanese media reported,  “The animals come to customers when they order food and stay with them until they finish their meal.”  Now, the restaurant’s name has also been changed to  Cat Hotel  and visitors can spend up to two hours at the restaurant while interacting with eh cats at the same time.
