A group of men attacked the Aurat March Islamabad on Sunday and pelted participants with stones and chili powder. Several were arrested but others ran away. It is suspected that these violators were of the JUI party, but investigation is still in progress.

Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqat posted on Twitter that action would be taken against the attackers and said they did not have an NOC for their protest and will be charged accordingly.

But what happened at the Aurat March?

At the Aurat March 2020, during the protest, a few chunk of men came to the venue and started harassing the women and the other protesters by throwing rocks and pepper powder at the peaceful protestors. After a good tussle between the two groups, the police arrived to control the issue but struggled briefly.
