Bilawal Warns All ‘Selected’ Will Soon Have To Go

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari spent Friday holding meetings in Larkana, in efforts to boost their PS-11 by-election campaign.

The PPP leader met with representatives of different parties at Naudero House with Provincial Party President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro to hear their proposals and complaints in order to strengthen their organisation.

The meetings would help advance the campaign for PPP candidate Jamil Soomro, who is facing Grand Democratic Alliance’s candidate Moazzam Ali Abbasi in the PS-11 bypoll.

Earlier in the day, he had sent out a tweet mocking the ex-NA Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri and foreseeing that ‘soon all “selected” will have to go’.

At Larkana, Bilawal complained that the PTI government was an ‘anti-poor’ political party bent upon doing away with the 18th amendment.

He said, the PTI and GDA were out to eliminate the poor while the PPP was here to eliminate poverty and its only ‘crime’ was that it wanted to strengthen the poor. He also asked party workers to gear up the election work for the victory of Mr Soomro.

Bilawal took the opportunity to condemn the actions of police on protesting doctors in Peshawar as well. He went on to say that peaceful protest was the right of the people and it was quite uncalled for to baton-charge the protesters instead of resolving their issue.

“How could those talking about the Riasat-i-Madina be firing tear gas shells? It has now become the identity of the selected rulers to use force against the people [raising voice] for justice and rights,” said Bilawal. He then said that the students’ union in Sindh would be restored.

The PPP chairman was of the opinion that the government was applying the instruments of NAB and police to hush up dissenting voices.

Furthermore, he condemned the murder of PPP leader Malir Nazeer Ahmed Bhutto’s brother-in-law and demanded the arrest of the killers, expressing condolences with the bereaved family.
