Big day for Imran as Toshakhana disqualification verdict to be announced today

What happened: On October 21 (today), more than a month after the Toshakhana disqualification reference against former prime minister and PTI leader Imran Khan was reserved, the Election Commission of Pakistan will be announcing its decision today. Details: The ECP has instructed all relevant parties or their counsel to appear at its secretariat in Islamabad at 2pm. Back story: The coalition government filed the reference against Imran in August for “not providing information” of Toshakhana gifts and money. It was presented by lawmakers, belonging to the Pakistan Democratic Movement, to National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. He then sent it to Chief Election Commissioner, Sikander Sultan Raja for further action.
