What happened: Mahjabeen Sheeran, the Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development, announced that the 2021-22 budget of Balochistan allocates Rs500 million for the economic empowerment of women. She further stated that this was in-line with Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alayani’s vision for women playing a vital role in the uplift of Balochistan. Details: There are plans to create digital libraries for women to help make education more accessible to them. The women development department would also work on the issues faced by women imprisoned in Balochistan’s jails.
