Bail request for PTM’s Manzoor Pashteen has been rejected

A Peshawar court on Tuesday ordered Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen’s transfer to a Dera Ismail Khan jail, a day after he was arrested and sent to Peshawar Central Jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

Pashteen, who was not presented in court during today’s proceedings, was represented by his lawyers including Shahab Khattak, Farhat Afridi and Advocate Fazl. Their request of a transit bail for Pashteen was rejected by the court.

Worldwide protests in 32 cities for the release of Manzoor Pashteen

People around the world including Washington, Kabul and Belgium, are going to protest for the release of PTM’s chief, Manzoor Pashteen. Manzoor Pashteen was arrested on Monday. Many supporters have said that the arrest shouldn’t have happened as he was only fighting for the constitutional rights of Pashtuns. Protest in Lahore will be taking place at Liberty Chawk at 5pm.
