Pakistan People’s Party leader Khursheed Shah applied for bail on December 17 for the case of assets beyond means lodged on him.
A two member bench comprising Justices Naimatullah Phulpoto and Khadim Hussain Tunio passed the order while hearing the application. They suspended accountability and summoned him along with his 17 co-accused to the court on Jan 16 next year.
The 17 other co-accused nominated in the NAB reference had already obtained bail before arrest from the high court.
Khursheed Shah was not present for his hearing. When the court asked about his absence his counsel, advocate Mukesh Kumar Karira said that he did not receive the court’s notice.
To which the NAB prosecutor replied that Khursheed Shah had received the notice.
