Back to the Covid-19 era? Pakistan sees surge in positive Covid cases

What happened:  After the government had dissolved NCOC, Pakistan saw a sudden minor surge in the Covid-19 cases. The National Institute of Health in Islamabad has said that the country currently faces a positivity ratio of 1.22%. However, the root cause of this spread is yet to be determined, though experts claim that the recent increase in the visit by the foreigners from Europe might be one of the causes.  Details:  The NIH, via Twitter, stated that on June 16, a total of 11,828 Covid-19 cases were conducted in the country, out of which 144 came out positive, and only one Covid-related death was reported. However, it is pertinent to mention that since the first case of Covid was reported in Pakistan two years back, during the first week of April 2022, for the very first time Pakistan reported zero Covid-19 related deaths in the country.
