Babar Azam named the captain for ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year

What happened: On January 19, the International Cricket Council announced the T20 team of the year with Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, among the team led by the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam. It is pertinent to mention that no Indian cricketer was included in ht lineup of ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year as Shaheen would lead the pacers’ attack along with Josh Hazlewood and the Bangladeshi pacer, Mustafizur Rehman. Details: The ICC released a statement in regards to the team,  “ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year is to recognize 11 outstanding individuals who have impressed one and all, be it with the bat, the ball, or their all-around exploits in a calendar year.”  ICC’s T20I team will be opened by the English hard-hitter batter, Jos Butler who Mohammad Rizwan will accompany. More: Whereas, the middle-order will have the likes of Babar Azam, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram as David Miller will come on in the late middle-order before the Sri Lankan leg spinner Hasaranga.
