Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi left out as ICC announced their Test player of the year

What happened: The International Cricket Council(@icc) on the 28th of December disclosed the nominees for ICC Men’s Test Player of the Year and no Pakistani cricket player was included in the list, leaving the Pakistani Twitterati surprised. It is pertinent to mention that Shaheen Shah Afridi(@ishaheenafridi10) is the 2nd highest wicket-taker in Test cricket during 2021 with 47 wickets. Details: However, instead of Shaheen, ICC decided to nominate the Kiwi pacer Kyle Jamieson as ICC stated,  “In New Zealand’s finest hour, as they celebrated their ICC World Test Championship victory, Jamieson was the player who made the difference.”  However, the Pakistani Twitter users were not impressed by ICC’s decision as Maaz Ahmed tweeted,  “As Always, ICC being biased. After A wonderful year by Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi in Tests, They aren’t nominated..”  Also: Another cricket journalist Saj Sadiq tweeted,  “Surprised that Shaheen Shah Afridi who took 47 wickets (2nd highest) at an average of 17.06 isn’t included.”
