What happened: ASP Islamabad Police, Amna Baig, in a tweet reported the injury of “two brave Jawans” who were received several bullets in a cross-fire with armed-dacoits attempting to rob a house in G-11, Islamabad. She requested everyone to pray for their speedy recovery. Details: On June 26th, a cross-fire opened up between Islamabad Police and burglars attempting to rob a house in G-11, Islamabad. The armed dacoits were arrested unhurt, yet two policemen were severely maimed as the dacoits opened fire on them. The officers were transferred to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences where they are under-treatment.

The IGP paid tribute to the injured personnel and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for their bravery. Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also visited the injured policemen at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and announced cash awards for them. ASP saluted the two police officers for their bravery and high morale, requesting her followers on twitter to pray for their speedy recovery. Responding to public prayers and appreciation for the two policemen, IGP said, “such acts of kindness demonstrated by the public not only boost the morale of ‘Jawans’ but give them a new spirit to perform their duties diligently” Click here to see more from Propergaanda.
