Umair Khan’s rendition of Pakistani superheroes is trending on Twitter and for good reason- the artist is giving Pakistan its very own squadron of extremely diverse and aesthetically pleasing superheroes.
The series features five characters as of yet: Marvi, teacher by day and vigilante by night; Sofiyan, a nawab who has an unearthly control over sand; Bazira, a tech savvy seer that uses her abilities to change the future; and lastly, the two twins named after the Twin Cities have electrokinetic powers.
And this won’t be just about tall-muscular-size zero-fair skinned-chisel jawed people. I want everyone to find themselves in these characters. I want them to be as real as they can be.
