Army helicopter deployed on peacekeeping duties with the UN crashed, 6 Pak Army soldiers martyred

What happened: On March 29, a Pakistan Army helicopter deployed on peacekeeping duties with the United Nations Organisation Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo crashed during a reconnaissance operation. Local publications said,  “Six Pakistan Army soldiers were among eight UN peacekeepers killed in a helicopter crash whole on a UN peace mission in Congo.”  Details: However, the exact cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained, and the Foreign Ministry, in a statement, wrote,  “We would like to extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of maintaining international peace and security.”  It is pertinent to mention here that nearly 157 Pak Army soldiers have been martyred in the line of duty while serving in the United Nations missions.
