Anti-Dengue Team Mauled By Homeowners In Rawalpindi

A female anti-dengue team member was held back and others beaten up by a group of people from a house in Morgah, Rawalpindi.

The head of the team, Shahbaz Ali Malik, lodged a complaint to the police that him along with ‘Nabeela Bibi, Kamran Khalid and Amira Bibi’ rang the doorbell of Chaudhry Afzal in Officer’s Colony to administer anti-dengue spray.

A man – later identified as Khurram – came out along with others, including women, and proceeded to put up a fight, said Shahbaz.

The anti-dengue team was then apparently physically and verbally abused. “Ms. Nabeela was detained in a room by the housemates,” said the FIR. However, the police is yet to make an arrest.
