What happened: Consolidating support on a condolence reference in Bacha Khan Markaz, the provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan disclosed that donations were being collected by mosques in support of the Afghan Taliban. He urged the government to take swift actions to end the practice and stated that those who advocate in the favour of Tehreek-i-Taliban Afghanistan cannot claim to be friends of the Pashtuns.
Appeal to the government: The ANP leaders stressed how the government has not paid heed to the warnings communicated by his party about the regrouping of terrorists in parts of the country. According to him, the government needs to rectify its ‘unbothered attitude’ so they can aim to eradicate terrorism without repeating past mistakes.
