What happened: The reports have suggested that the Karachi zoo is left with only a few days worth of food. Allegedly the food contractors of the zoo have stopped providing food to the animals due to their previous dues not being cleared. Details: The food contractor has also been reported to have stopped giving food since the 22nd of November. The food contractor has alleged that the zoo administration hasn’t cleared previous dues. Hence food delivery was stopped. It was reported that the finance department of the Karachi zoo hasn’t paid their dues since February. Also: While confirming the news, Karachi zoo has claimed that they are left with only a few days of food. It is pertinent to know that many animals at the Karachi zoo died earlier this year due to a lack of facilities.
