Air India Crew has to Say ‘JAI HIND’ After Every Announcement

The crew of India’s National carrier, Air India, has to say ‘Jai Hind’ and that too ‘with fervour’ to keep in line with the national sentiment.

The move comes as tensions between India and Pakistan run high. And while the Modi flails about to use any means to come out on top in the elections, India’s media and national carrier are also resorting to an extreme form of nationalism.

The Director Operations of Air India stated, “With immediate effect, all (crew) are required to announce ‘Jai Hind’ at the end of every announcement after a slight pause and much fervour.”

“The captain of a flight should often connect with passengers during the journey and, at the end of his first address, using the words ‘Jai Hind’ would make a tremendous impact,” Air India spokespersons said in a statement.

Air India is also currently going through an economic crises. Let’s see how this helps the Indian National Carrier uplift itself. What do you think of the move? Let us know in the comments section.
