After meeting Taliban, India plans to accept the interim Afghan Taliban govt 

What happened:  It is pertinent to mention that an Indian delegation had previously met the members of the interim Taliban government in a formal meeting held in Kabul. The meeting is said to be facilitated by the US and Qatar. However, the Indian government had developed cordial ties with the previous Afghan government led by Ashraf Ghani.  Details:  Later, after the takeover by the Taliban, India closed their diplomatic mission and ties with the US and the development projects in Afghanistan were brought to a halt. Whereas, the change in the heart of India is due to  “Change in the heart of India clearly shows that they understand Taliban are now a reality,”  as Express Tribune quotes a Pakistani official dealing with Afghanistan. The Pakistani official is further quoted,  “If India agrees to reopen its embassy in Kabul, it would further demoralise the anti-Taliban forces, including Northern Alliance.”
