After economic crisis, water crisis seems imminent in Pakistan as Tarbela dam hits dead level 

What happened: Pakistan is already on the verge of an economic crisis, and now due to the low flows into the Indus River, the water level at Tarbela Dam has reached its dead level at 1398 feet. Due to the  unusually low  inflows during the summer months, the water crisis in the lowlands seems to aggravate.  Details: Earlier in March, it was predicted that the water storage capacity of the Tarbela Dam would have dropped to its minimum, but the government failed to take a step. Subsequently, WAPDA has said that the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangela, and Chasma were really low. The News quotes,  “A calamity of this nature would further constrict flows downstream, reduce drinking water supplies, and negatively impact the standing crops.”
