What happened: Adele couldn’t contain her tears when her English teacher showed up unexpectedly at her London Palladium performance of “An Audience With Adele” on Sunday night. Details: Actress Emma Thompson, urged Adele to mention “someone who supported you or… shielded you from the trials and tribulations of life and inspired you to go on” in a viral clip from the show. In response, Adele started telling the audience about Ms McDonald, her English teacher at Chestnut Grover. When Emma asked if she still kept in touch, Adele said, ““No, she left when I was in year eight. It was just one year, but she got me really into literature. I’ve always been obsessed with English, and obviously now I write lyrics.” The singer continued to recall how cool her teacher was, and how it was because of Ms. McDonald that she used to look forward to her English classes. As her teacher made her way to the stage, Thompson disclosed that McDonald was in the crowd, causing the Grammy-winning singer to break down in tears. “I didn’t know that you were coming!” Adele replied in shock. “Hi, how are you? Oh you look exactly the same. Are you still teaching?” Adele told the teacher that she ‘changed her life.’ What else: The reunion went viral over the Internet and people can’t get enough of it. Actor Hugh Jackman shared the video and said, “Proof positive that teachers have superpowers.’ 
A primary teacher, Mr. S Jones took notice of the reunion too and tweeted about the importance of a good teacher.
