If you love and care about animals you might have gone vegan or stopped wearing leather. There’s one sneaky place where animal-derived ingredients may be hiding: Your makeup products. Not only that, but some brands may test on animals. Animal testing is the ugly side of the beauty industry, and we firmly support companies that choose not to participate in it.

We’ve curated a list of 5 cruelty-free Pakistani makeup brands that you can opt for.

1. Poppy Color Co. and More

Poppy Color Co. and More (@poppycolorco) is a cruelty-free, toxin-free and vegan makeup brand that started with vegan watercolours. After high demand, the founder decided to press the same pigments (they are safe for cosmetic use) using a vegan and cruelty-free formula into multipurpose eyeshadows. Currently, they are entirely handmade and the only seller of multichrome and colour-shifting eyeshadows in Pakistan. The prices range from Rs. 950 to Rs. 1,850. Their colour shifting shades are beautiful pigments inspired by the colour-changing feathers of hummingbirds.
