A very disgruntled cricket fan has filed a petition with the Gujranwala Civil Court against the Pakistan cricket team, seeking a ban on the squad as well as the firing of the selection committee following the devastating defeat to arch-enemy India in the World Cup on Sunday.

The man who filed the petition, whose name has not been revealed, has called for a ban on the cricket team while also demanding chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq-led selection committee to be dissolved, according to SAMAA news.
In response to the petition, the judge at the Court has actually summoned officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board!

Pakistani cricketers have been facing wide-spread criticism from supporters after theĀ 89-run defeat.
The players have been ridiculed all over social media, turned into memes and been accused of skipping the curfew a night before the big game. This has been proven to be false. While this may not have been the best or most effective way to show frustration with the team, it’s definitely creative.

What is the future of the Pakistan Cricket Team?
Memes and petitions aside, the PCB is expected to implement major changes after witnessing Pakistan’s performance against India. PCB will be making the announcement of the shuffle up soon, and many are expected to get the cut including coach Mickey Arthur whose contract will not be renewed by the PCB. Team manager Talat Ali, bowling coach Azhar Mahmood and the entire selection committee can also be dismissed, according to some reports.
