What happened: On Jan 4, a Lahori freelancer’s advertisement that reads, “I will pray for you in Data Darbar Lahore, Pakistan,” made rounds on social media as it offers different packages for people who want the Fiverr user, waleedarfeen786, to make a prayer for them at the largest Sufi shrine of South Asia. Details: The freelancer offers three distinct packages; Basic, Standard and Premium to devotees of Data Ali Hajveri and other Sufi saints such as Pir Makki, Mian Mir, Madho Lal Hussain, and Shah Jamal Qadri. The offer that ranges from Rs 4,000 to Rs 18,000 includes praying, lighting oil lamps, and feeding the destitute in any person’s home or at their preferred temple. The user, who is also a professional graphic designer according to his Fiverr bio, claims that he will also provide a confirmation video of his services where he will film himself performing the activities.
