According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) data released on Sunday, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Karachi are the cities that have reported 70 percent of all coronavirus cases in Pakistan.
The NCOC meeting also revealed that Mirpur, Karachi, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar were all cities were the coronavirus positivity rate has persistently been rising.
As per data released by the NCOC, on Monday, the coronavirus positivity rate in Pakistan climbed to 8.5 percent on the 29th of November.
2, 839 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, which puts Pakistan’s total case count at 398, 024.
The national death toll stand at 8, 025, after the coronavirus claimed the lives of 40 patients on Sunday. Currently, 2, 046 coronavirus patients are under critical care while 2, 543 are hospitalised.
