7 Pakistani universities make it to World’s Top 1000

7 Pakistani universities are included in the world’s top 1000 according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Rankings 2021.

Which Pakistani universities are included?

Sitting higher in the rankings than all other Pakistani universities, the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) made it to #355. Following it is the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) at #373. #454 is occupied by the Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad. All three universities are located in, or have their main campuses in, Islamabad.

Additionally, COMSATS Islamabad, the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMs), the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and the University Punjab obtained rankings in the top 1000.

What were the rankings based on?

QS Rankings, one of the three most read publications on university rankings, are based on numerous factors including academic reputation, employer reputation, and faculty to student ratio.
