5 homegrown brands offering Kurtas to keep you cool this summer

When the forecast predicts temperatures of 30 degrees and above, the thought of wearing anything but an easy summer kurta isn’t always the most appealing. For this reason, Lawn has become Pakistani women’s best friend. The beginning of March saw many famous brands launching their lawn/summer collections. This year we plan to go a bit traditional with our summer wardrobe.

It is a minimum profit brand with a cause; each piece is handcrafted with love and promotes local artisans and their right to a fair wage. Pink Carnation sources its products from different rural areas of Punjab. They do hand embroidered kurtas with mirror work, Kacha Tanka, Tarkashi, Cross Stitch and Shadow Work. Most of their designs are embroidered on plain cotton and lawn fabric.
