35 Pakistani students evacuated to Poland amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

What happened: On February 26, Dawn reported that nearly 35 Pakistani students were evacuated from Ukraine to Poland with the help of the Pakistani embassy in Ukraine. However, it is pertinent to mention that more than 300 Pakistani students reside in the capital Kyiv. Whereas, the international media reports suggest that 1500 Pakistanis, including students, are currently stranded in Ukraine awaiting evacuation. Details: Subsequently, the Pakistan Embassy Ukraine, in a Twitter message, revealed,  “The Embassy of Pakistan Ukraine has managed to evacuate 35 Pakistani students to Poland. They have reached the camp on the Polish side of the border. The Embassy of Pakistan Poland is making arrangements for their transportation to Warsaw.”  More: At the same time, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in a press briefing, noted that the Pakistani students in Ukraine had been advised to reach Ternopil.
