250 officers suspended for faking inquiry on Citizen portal’s complaints

What happened: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and the federal government have suspended 250 officers who were involved in faking resolution of the complaints on Citizen Portal. The 250 officers were trying to manipulate the users’ satisfaction level by resolving the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal complaints. It is pertinent to know that this action came after an investigation report by PMPDU (PM Performance Delivery Unity).

Details:   The report by the Delivery Unit revealed that among the 250 officers, 154 police officers were from Punjab. Whereas, 86 belonged to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and 11 were from the federal government’s locality. Sindh, with the lowest number of defrauding police officers, three got suspended. Concluded the report by blocking the social media IDs used by those police officers, and redressal of the complaints on the Pakistan Citizen Portal was instructed.  Also: Prime Minister Imran had also noticed the incident and ordered an inquiry while sacking the officers. Imran Khan claimed that he personally monitors the complaints on the Pakistan Citizen Portal, and  “negligence won’t be tolerated.”
