According to sources, many civilians with injuries have been shifted to different hospitals. On Thursday, district officials issued an emergency notification across the Tharparkar district, cancelling leaves of employees in all departments.
At least 16 have been reported to be injured while 10 dead bodies were brought to different hospitals.
A resident of Mithi city, Mumtaz Nohrio, says a large majority of people believe it to be too dangerous to use mobile phones during the heavy rains, so no one exactly knows what is happening in remote areas. They also added that there was no rescue system available for quick assistance to the injured.
