What happened : Two Pakistani companies, Feroze1888 Mills and System Limited, made it to the Forbes’ ” Asia’s 200 Best Under A Billion ” list. This list spotlights 200 Asia-Pacific companies with less than $1 billion in revenue which have had a consistent top and bottom-line growth. A statement from Forbes revealed, “These companies have track records of exceptional corporate performance, with one Covid-19 caveat: the list is based on full-year data as of July 7 and does not fully reflect the impact from the pandemic-led downturn.”. Feroze1888 Mills, a textile company, recorded sales of $215 million with a net income of $44 million and market value of $189 million. System Limited (SLP), an Information Technology company, recorded sales worth $50 million with a net income of $11 million and a market value of $139 million. Founded in 1977, Systems Limited Pakistan, according to its website, was the country’s first software technology company.
