It is shocking that many of our daily use items are manufactured through processes that support theriocide. Makeup is one such item. Brands like MAC, Nars, Maybelline and many other drugstore and high-end brands test on animals. Over 100 million animals are burnt, crippled, killed or poisoned in the US labs every year. Few local makeup brands refrain from this ugly side of the beauty industry.
Here’s a list of 11 Pakistani makeup brands that are vegan, halal and bunny approved:
Founded by Anny Shahid (@mrsannyshahid) Accenti Beauty (@accenti.beauty) is a brand that pays extra attention to the kind of ingredients they use. They believe in quality over quantity. For that reason, it took them 2 years to perfect the formulation of their first batch of lipsticks. Anny (@mrsannyshahid) believes in the blend of beauty and health.
Whereas most brands use ingredients bad for nature and health, Accenti uses cruelty-free means and paraben-free ingredients in its products
This year-old brand launched with a collection of liquid lipsticks. Currently, they’re working to add more products that are paraben and cruelty-free. Their first-ever matte lipsticks consist of lipstick shades that complement Asian skin tones. Spellbound and Charm are beautiful shades of pink while Temptation is the perfect nude that’ll work great with any look, from no-makeup makeup to smokey eye.
These are priced at Rs. 1,950.
